What're people's opinions of/experiences with it? I tried a pair on at BiG and while they were really comfortable and fit great, they didn't look or feel like anything special (IMO) -- not like 45RPMs or Canes or PBJs, etc...

Although I haven't seen them in person, I was under the impression that they are very nice. Certainly the denim may not be as interesting as PBJ's slub, or some of Canes' different offerings - but I think they are neck and neck in terms of quality.

Warehouse, Samurai and 45 RPM are all relatively equal as far as denim quality is concerned, with differences between the three being highly subjective.

PBJ and Sugar Cane are (sort of) "novelty jeans," imo.

I saw a couple in Japan recently. The styles I saw didn't really interest me that much, but the denim seemed very nice and they looked well constructed.

CMF and BiG worked together and have a special sufu/warehouse jean now. It fits basically like the Samurai S0500, mid-low rise, slim but not tight leg with a very slight taper in the 1000x denim. Looks pretty nice and at a good price. I just don't have the money right now.

1000xx denim is consistantly ranked #1 in Japanese votes on the best-fading denim. It is probably the most underrated of the 'popular' brands here.

Hmm, after all the good feedback maybe I'll buy a pair next time. They're certainly a deal, too, compared to the other Japanese brands. I just didn't know much about them -- for all the good talk here, I can't remember ever seeing someone post their pair.

Look in the sufu superdenim thread about the warehouse/BiG/sufu collab. There are some fit pictures and fading pictures of 1000x denim. Should help you out.

What makes you say those brands have "equal" quality
    and PBJ and sugarcane inferior?
