Hiya, I'm a first-year law student in the U.S. who will be interviewing with firms (relatively large firms, for the most part standard business professional) for the summer in the near-to-mid future and am working on assembling a true professional wardrobe for the first time. Specifically I'm looking to add another pair of shoes (working with navy and charcoal grey suits), but have been having a hard time on account of being unable to find sufficiently wide oxfords.
I currently have a pair of black cap-toe oxfords, but know that I want to pick up at least one more color for versatility. I've been looking at darker browns and burgundy, but have not been able to find anything that both fits properly and isn't substantially outside my price range (Would prefer to not pay over $250 if possible).
With that said, here are my initial questions for the field.
1. What color should I go after next in addition to black for the suits I have already?
2. Stick with cap-toe oxfords, or add quarter-brogue/semi-brogue?
3. Any particular brands that tend to run a little wider in general or have strong wide-width options?
Assistance is greatly appreciated!
