Assuming there is a script and you receive some it (sides) -
- You MUST memorize it
- You need to decide how you want to play the role. You must make choices. How happy/sad is the person? Angry? Annoyed? What is their background? How did they get to the point in life they are at in the script? What do they want to have happen in the scene? What is the conflict point of the scene and how does it impact your character?
Directors will give you ideas on how to change ("more angry, more sad") - but they want you to have chosen a version for them to see. That's your audition.
