I would like to get some pants made similar to the ones below (this photo was previously posted by a SF member - they are MTM from Isetan Tokyo as I recall). What kind of width do you think is on the cuff, and how would you describe the fit on the leg (tapered, straight, etc)? Any useful instructions I could give to the tailor? (tailors in my city are completely hopeless)

I may be blind, but I don't think they are cuffed.

They are slim fitting. I would suggest simply bringing the picture to the tailor and say "I would like them to fit as slim as these pants, please."

These pants are 20cm wide at the bottom (uncuffed), and are fairly tapered. I basically said I wanted slim fitting trousers, they gave suggestions and this is what came out of it.

Oh, I thought it was Matt (the full sized Caucasian version) with the shortness and all that.

They have no cuffs (!!!!) and need some work to minimise the horixontal creasing at the top of the thigh.

Nice. Sorry to steal your picture, but hopefully it was a compliment. I'll see if I can get the tailor to do something along the same lines. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind telling me the width of the thighs and knees too, so I get can an idea of the shape? I got a suit made at Isetan Shinjuku too when I was in Japan. The jacket turned out beautifully but the pants weren't so great.
