I'm ambidextrous - write with my left hand, throw with my right... wallet is in my back right pocket, keys in front left and chapstick in front right.

I'm the same. I am left handed buy play most sports right handed, but I think this is due to the fact that my dad taught me how to play sports, and he is right handed.

I have always put the wallet in the back left and im right handed. I like this because I can be writing something down and still get to my wallet, or pull out my wallet while shifting gears in my car with my right hand.

So you can pull out your wallet while shifting gears.... which hand is on the steering wheel?

    For a second none. [IMG]

I thought of this thread today when I was putting my wallet back into my pocket at a store while signing the receipt with my right hand.

Hmmm.... I no longer wear a wallet, since purchasing a checkbook wallet, I keep it all in one. That said: Checkbook wallet: front left Wallet (if ever again needing to wear it): back right Pens/pencils (generally about 5 mechanical writing utensils): front right, clipped on Keys: front right If wearing a coat, the wallet goes in the inside breast pocket (is that what it's called) and the keys on the right side pocket. One problem with having checkbook and wallet in one is that the bulge in my front pocket is insane! I fine myself more often carrying just some loose cash and whatever I.D./cards I need instead... and only taking the checkbook if I plan to write a check... exact same here, except chapstick in front left

Used to be Right-handed, left pocket. I sling my bag over my right shoulder, though, so it hangs primarily over the left side of my ass, and would rub up against my wallet, getting the bag all stained and creating holes in the jean on one corner of the wallet.

Now, I'm righty-righty. I occasionally shove my phone in my left pocket, though.

Probably going to hop on a slimmer wallet here, soon. I have decided I really don't like the look of pocket fades.

Edit: Jesus, didn't even notice the date on this thing.

As a general rule, you should use the side opposite of how you hang in front. If you hang in front to the right, then use your left back pocket for wallet. This keeps your pelvic region balanced.

    Right handed:

    Wallet: Left back pocket.
    Keys: Left front pocket.
    Phone: Right front pocket.

edit: mother of god, this is a ridiculous necro-bump.

Right handed but I keep my wallet in my front left pocket, with keys and cell phone in my front right pocket. I don't ever put anything in my back pockets.

I ALWAYS have thought about for some reason. To be honest everyone I know uses the wallet in their left and I use it on the right.

    Right handed
    Wallet: right back pocket
    Phone: Left front pocket
    Keys: right front pocket
