I needed a new wallet earlier this year. I used to carry a huge wallet with a coin pocket and a lot of rooms for credit cards, and I realized that I rarely use cash anymore, so I went with a billfold from Richard James. Got it at an incredible price from Malford of London. I think I paid £20 for it plus shipping, and it's a bargain for that price. Leather is super soft and it's a great wallet.

I carry a very small leather card card case from Polo.com. I looked but couldn't find it online. Anyway, it has an ID slot that I keep two forms of ID in, and 2 other card slots I keep 4 cards in and minimal cash (usually). I'd never carry a full wallet again.

I actually use a BB card case as my wallet. It keeps me from putting too much crap in it. Cash goes in a money clip.

I have a cheap "slim" wallet from Marshall's with an outer ID slot (need to show/scan my ID at work often). Always goes in the front pocket. Want something slimmer, though.

RD, I kind of like the idea of a separate card case and then a money clip....might have to try that.

As a follow-up question; how many cards do you usually carry?

I'm clocking in at 8 cards - Visa, Mastercard, a store card, drivers license, public transportation, student ID, gym membership and another student card which gives me some additional benefits at selected stores.

I guess I could do without the gym membership and the student card, but I can't really trim them anymore. The store card gives me 4% cashback from that particular store, but it's not a credit card, so I need to carry that since I'm kind of irregular about when I shop. Mastercard is there as a backup, and since I use public transportation rather often I keep that card there as well.

A card holder from RL. I would like a nice one someday, but I figure until I am out of undergrad there is no point in me getting a $300 card holder. I do not think I will ever go back to a wallet again.

I carry Amex, Master Card (possibly Visa I am trying to figure out the best card to carry other than my amex), 2 ID's. I try to keep a $20, in case I get robbed or need the cash in an emergency.

I have this wallet. It's very convenient that you can access two cards without opening the wallet. It's not as slim as my previous card holder, but it's easier to carry a few bills in it.
