I have short, fat feet with a high instep, US 6.5 EEE. Alden is getting rather pricey and I’d like a slip-on and an Oxford of decent quality at a decent price. I’m not looking for Ed. Greene, nor Florsheim. Would appreciate any and all suggestions and ideas.
Thanks and Cheers,

They run less full than my dainty feet require…

The 3Es in AE are too narrow for me as well. I have been searching lately, and I have not found any good fits in a price bracket that will save you money vs. Alden. I don't think they have the styles you are looking for in their wide fit, but I am going to try Grant Stone soon as I get some intel on what they are doing for Black Friday this year. I will report back.

I wear EEEs from AE and they are fine. Maybe you measure 4E instead of 3E in their lasts? Try your foot out on a Brannock to get an idea.
