W.A. Stimson suit query

I've recently acquired a fantastic blue double-breasted suit made for my father in 1950, and it seems to be in near perfect condition. The label says "W.A. Stimson, 50 Maddox St. London". Can anyone can tell me anything about that company as I can find almost nothing about them on the web?

I know nothing of the company, but 50 Maddox St. is near the junction of Maddox and New Bond St., which has always been an area for quality retail (or more).

No idea about the company, but they must have known what they were doing: I've just discovered a suit that belonged to my great grandfather, made in 1920; immaculate condition; I've just worn it all evening and it's given satisfaction...
