If the rotors are 0.5 mm less than the recommended limit, I'd change the rotors for your own safety, or not drive the car until you return it. That kind of wear implies heavy brake usage that doesn't bode well for rotors that are too thin already.
Is that $780 for all 4 wheels' pads, or just the fronts'?

$780 was for front rotors and pads. The rears for some reason are perfect and don't show the same kind of wear (realtive) as the fronts. It was "˜their' recommended limit, which doesn't necessarily mean Audi's. Anyways, I'm having the other shop check it out (I've known dealers to be less than trust worthy).
