I can't decide on my next car, but I've narrowed it down to:

GTI
700

Genesis Coupe
700

I've test driven both and I'm still having trouble picking. The Genesis Coupe would be a bit cheaper (fully loaded) and has a much better warranty. The GTI has 4-doors, functional back seats, and a better interior.

I'm looking for something sub-32k fully loaded if anyone has an alternative recommendation.

Genesis looks cooler but... girlier? GTI retains some of that mid-90s Honda hatchback aesthetic which is cool too. Tough call.

Not a big fan of the Fiat.

I'm also considering the Buick Verano. Great price at around 26k fully loaded. My only reservation is that they are coming out with a turbo version in October.

I like the GTI. Alternatively I like the Mini.

I think my biggest reservation on the GTI is that the warranty is pretty skimp compared to Hyundai's. (it also has a low reliability rating)

My current car is a 2001 Corolla and it has needed very little repairs in the past 11 years. I don't want a new car that is going to require an extraordinary amount of care.

You should PM user Stanley Van Buren. He knows quite a bit about the GTI and similar vehicles and would be able to offer you some good insights.

Financed half. The interest was low enough that I decided not to pay it all at once.

Glad I went with this instead of the cheaper options.
