I'm fine with the cross-pollination, but I do think fits should be worn the week of and there should be one picture (maybe one + spoilered detail shot).
It would be interesting to have a Greatest Fit of All Time Challenge. Start with semis in each sub-forum, and then a battle for top honors. Once the top is established, pretenders to the throne could challenge the king in one-on-one battles.
I don't see a link posted to the new challenge here, so I'm taking the liberty to post it:
ZOMG I WAS JUST THINKING SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR EARLIER TODAY!
i think a great challenge would be for anyone who wants to play to submit what they think is their best fit they have ever produced. let the winner take all.
Take all what?
well all the narcissism of course!
The winner fit is awful. Did the SW&D crowd voat him?
"Your opinions are stupid and you should feel bad about them."
Um. No. It was a great fit. Got a vote from me.
Goth ninja is not a good look.
I would not call that goth ninja. Not at all.
And either way, goth ninja can be excellent.
I gave him a vote despite disliking the fit. It is really not my aesthetic, and the whole shoe-pant thing (where the pants taper and stack into the shoes) is really not my thing, despite being one of the preferred fits in SW&D. It makes me think of satyr legs for whatever reason. But I could see that it was an excellent, excellent fit by a standard I don't entirely understand or agree with, with top notch execution. So I voted for him.
I suspect the SW&D crowd did vote him in, but he's definitely one of several deserving fits. I suspect that in challenges which bridge the divide, the SW&D vote is going to determine a lot of winners. But that's not their fault. It's CM's fault for being less participatory.
I used too strong of words to say it was awful. Not everyone's tastes are the same.
Not an expert in Goth Ninja style, but that fit strikes me as being awfully Goth Ninja-y with the tapered pants, exagerrated proportions, stark colors, and sand-papered shoes. (https://www.google.com/search?q=got...IBg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1440&bih=798#imgdii=_)
Really meant to say that the winner this week was anomalous
