I am seriously considering a Volvo S60 R,but living in the UK where petrol costs more than 10 cents a gallon,I am concerned about the mpg.The official figures state 27 mpg combined, which I could live with, but in the real world this figure tends to be lower.I was wondering if the 27 figure is accurate, also I would appreciate any comments in general on the car from owners past and present.

If you don't push it too hard,do you get anywhere near that combined figure of 27?

I have no idea. My wife drives it much more than I do and I just fill it up when I need to do so . I really don't concentrate on the mileage so much as I am lucky to put more than 30 miles a week on a car.
