VMWare released an upgrade to their enterprise ESX virtualization hypervisor, which had some beta/testing code in it which "expired" today. This left thousands (hundreds of thousands potentially based on the size of some farms) of virtual machines unable to start without intervention, but worse, left companies with no way to vmotion (move) virtual machines in the case of a system crash or DR event. Oops!

Anyone affected/work for affected company?
