Thankful for this. ??

I’m a size 4 with the old cut which is great for layering under liner jackets and parkas. A 4 in the new cut would have been too big but the 3 is perfect.

The new wider silhouette is more like a traditional jacket and can easily accommodate hoodies and vests to be layered underneath. The updated rayon twill liner makes it easier to slip on the jacket, but the old linen canvas had a charming vintage touch.

So happy they were able to release another batch of the vintage bandana. “This is the Life” indeed.

Yes, if price is too good to be true, its absolutely a fake. Additionally, even if price is at market rate, I'd recommend getting something reviewed here or on facebook visvim groups.

New to Visvim. I've seen a few kerchief bandana down jackets on Rakuten going for $300–400… isn't the price too low? Am I missing something? Here's an example.
ultimately, there is no substitute for handling the real thing. So to answer your question, it's simply years of experience of buying and selling and going to FIL stores to check out the pieces.

The example you gave is laughably fake. The biggest giveaway is the labels, they are all wrong, poorly done. also the fabrics are all off in terms of weave, finish, etc. felt ghost patch? no. I must say, the fakes coming out of china recently are getting better, and notice they are using real hang tags to throw people off. Realize that the most faked visvim items are the kerchief and nylon sanjuro kimonos, those are very expensive retail and resell and so many get enticed. but don't expect to pay anything less than $2k for a kerchief like that, even used.

the best deal is not buying US retail. the prices are crazy. if you can get a piece for japan retail (especially one that didn't release on US website) that in itself is a good deal. but for the most part japanese resellers on buyee or rakuten are not basing their selling price on US retail, so you are already getting a good deal. many on sites like mercari want to sell fast for quick cash, so you can always find good prices there. bottom line, it comes down to luck and timing.

Love the details. I’ll be posting pics of the tags for LC purposes later:

By the way, these are extremely limited. I heard the L.A. store had less than 7 pieces.

Also know that I.C.T. items are literally the same price in Japan as in the U.S. so there little to minimal delta in that regard.

I remain very thankful to obtain one. ??
