IT jackets were nice. In my opinion the ivory stabler is the standout as the distressing is most pronounced. Seward had shearling lining and was horse hide. Leather seemed pretty thick on the horse hide but I don’t have any comparisons.
About seward jkt / Is the size small? If I usually wear 2 sizes, would the same size be better?

I think all the leathers are designed to be a bit loose fit. The stabler is probably the tightest. The Seward is loose fit looking but because it’s thick shearling it doesn’t feel loose.

I'm sort of tired of visvim not delivering what they promise during the trunk shows. They are more and more often cutting costs in the final delivery items and changing key details about them that make me regret preordering them. I think I will move away from pre-ordering to actually seeing what the final delivery items look like before investing insane amounts of $$ on them

Has anyone worn new skagways from current or recent seasons? Is the fit better than the G. Pattens?

i have both. g pattens fit larger and you can potentially size down. but it's totally different aesthetics and g patten you can wear with baggy pants.

Does anyone own the FW23 Ultimate Jumbo SB Sweat L/S? Wondering how shrinkage is with cold washing + air drying. Thank you in advance!

Anyone live in Japan and might be willing to discuss an emergent proxy/intermediary need, PM me?

I didn’t notice any difference with the ultimate vs any other sweat in terms of shrinkage. The texture is noticeably softer and denser though, especially after wearing for a while. I’ve got a used black size 4 I was thinking about listing if you’re interested.

Another topic, does anyone know if 0124205008014 HW CARROL CHINO PANTS (attached pic) ever made it to the states? They’re a wool linen and look to be not as crazy as the recent CD stuffed version. This is also the one I was thinking of before that was ¥124,300. What I would really like is a HW damaged cotton Carrol but that doesn’t seem to exist yet.

Another another topic, god bless contrary dept for saving us from embroidered nonsensical Hiroki-isms. I think I pooped on CD back in the day for being diffusion but was definitely wrong about that.

Iono if diffusion is the right term here as it generally implies a lower quality/less focused line. I think all the lines are basically the same level of quality and likely made in the same factories as the mainline.

Btw, I forget what HW stands for in Visvim terminology. Can you educate/remind me?

Yes I agree it is not diffusion. I thought that before when it first came out but was wrong.

I always thought HW stood for “high water” or very cropped inseam length.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
