This kind of aging is intentional. This is also true for the 22aw's lambskin virgil and a few other lambskin backpacks following 22 are like thisOwn a lambskin 20L 0122203003027 and am totally disappointed with how the leather is wearing. These were historically bulletproof, and this has only been used for 6 months. Not sure if intentional or not with a thin pigment layer, but definitely not what I expected...
While I prefer cow/horse leather for these kinds of things, this looks AWESOME.Own a lambskin 20L 0122203003027 and am totally disappointed with how the leather is wearing. Looks great. I read the website as them indicating it is available as indigo dyed or mud dyed (dark mud color) - it would be awesome if it is both though.Got this season's n.d. amplus hoodie just the other day. The most expensive n.d. hoodie as long as I can remember. The top one is from this season, very dark greenish indigo color. Japanese website says it's both indigo dyed and mud dyed. Couldn't really tell. I sometimes share my thoughts and pics on Instagram (ducks_introspection) if anyone's interested!

I think its just an expectation vs reality thing. I retired a camel suede ballistic 20l in favor of this hoping for a true black backpack. Once the leather started wearing through I looked it over and saw the cross-section of the leather was brown and the pigment layer was very thin, and just kind of accepted it.This kind of aging is intentional. True, I'm a bit confused too. If you change the language setting on the Japanese website to Japanese, it says the dk.indigo is 藍泥染め, which literally means dk.indigo is indigo and mud dyed; and dk.mud is simply 泥染め, which means mud dyed. And because 藍泥染め actually is a dying technique that's used in Amami Oshima, where visvim dyed its stuff, I'm more inclined to believe the Japanese website. But I guess you can only ask a staff to confirm. Sometimes the information on Japanese webstore is very different from North America webstore.Looks great.
