Copleston is good. I got the first Dmgd one that is their proprietary 3 layer laminate where the cotton outer layer has distressing. They later released a goretex version but it was less visibly damaged processed. It fits massive. I typically wear 3-4 and got a 2 after trying both 2 and 3 and can wear a full puffy kerchief or jumbo + vest underneath no issue.

I see it as the spiritual successor to the damaged six-five goretex that came out many years ago and was very limited pre-order only due to the damage process screwing up the goretex too much (apparently).

I had a PFD goretex before that was good for rain but I wanted a longer jacket as my thighs would always get soaked. The Copleston is great for that and has many useful pockets. Worth noting that it is just a shell so if you want warmth you need to layer.

I have the Lakota and have worn in very heavy downpours. It kept me very dry. It may not be strictly waterproof, but it's a very tightly woven cotton/nylon that keeps the rain out. It runs large and the hood is massive.

I have the copelston and the 3L size five... both perfect for the wet UK climate

Agreed on sizing. It is huge. I went for a three and the hood is massive. Will be great for an Oasis reunion gig if you are heading for that.

TBH, a Nomad may be a better option. I have the 3L Coach Jacket from the Spot release and that is decent in rain and I think uses the same fabric as some of the Nomads, hence being on the lookout for the latter since.

Anyone try on the Scout Moc boots or have any thoughts on it? Still undecided whether I want to pull the trigger on one and which color I should go for if I do. Black or Dark brown.... hm...

If you tried it on, was the shaft longer than the poundmaker or cossack? If it is too long and the last is too narrow, wondering if I should just pass the Scout Mocs and go with the Grizzly boots. Thanks for your input by the way!

I'd say it's pretty much the same as the Hammons. I think the only difference is the Falkland has patch pockets. The Hammons is a boxy cut and I take my normal size or could size down for a more fitted look.
