90% sure theyre fake. Tongue tag priting is too vibrant, also dont believe they did that type of tag for the kngr model, and the leather liner (color/vibrancy) was not used on those pairs.

someone talk me out of buying a new ultimate jumbo. My child just discovered the terrible twos, so.. surely I’d be an idiot to spend nearly $1k on one right?

Right??

If you can wait, it will likely hit 40% off, just be patient.
This.

Also, what does your child being two have to do with a clothing purchase other than that you might get it dirty with food and other unmentionables from said child? If your budget post children supports VV, then that's all that matters when it comes to price.

Has nothing to do with budget and everything to do with my two year old trashing my clothes the second his hands touch me lol

My black ultimate jumbo I got last year has experienced sun fading to the point where some of the black is now dark brown and you can see a light honeycomb fade pattern on the sleeves. This was all before the first wash, bought brand new. It's still the softest jumbo I've had but I was surprised by the fades. Didn't fade in the wash though.

This is one of the things that I worried about. While I like how some of the vegetable dye fades, the current season black is straight up brown in most shots and already looks like it’s got sun fading. Probably intentional but it doesn’t even look like vintage black.

FWIW my kids are almost 2 and get their yogurty/tomato sauced/phlegmy hands on all of my gear and the ultimate sweats i own (even in light grey) are very resilient in the (machine) wash

that said im still afriad to wear the cotton/silk hoodie i bought around them as that probably needs a little more TLC in the wash

I have had this ICT card case (0222903003008) for maybe 4 months; it was a sentimental gift. The lining is already falling off. Personally sold a Goat 101IT in the past because I felt it wasn't the most durable material despite its beauty, this is really reinforcing that. I hope they maybe send me a new one or give me store credit but highly doubt it. Anyone else encounter similar issues?

The defect you are referring to is called edge paint, which has delaminated from the leather. Its done as a detail on high end leather goods to finish the edges on cut leather. Its not uncommon for edge painting to fail in some form or fashion, even on really high end brands. That said, surface preparation, proper heat/cure time, and application can make a difference in adhesion. The quality and type of edge paint being used can also make a BIG difference. While it doesn't hurt to ask about return/exchange/credit, any competent leather worker can color match and apply edge painting where the existing failed. This would be a pretty cheap job fwiw, and you get to keep your wallet which is of sentimental value.
