Recently a would-be customer wrote in, sounding like he has a Visa or Mastercard that has more than 16 digits and therefore isn't compatible with the website. Unfortunately, he hasn't responded to a request for specifics.

A search isn't turning up existence of any such cards. Short of calling the companies, do you know anything about it? Thanks.

He might have mistaken the security number--sometimes listed on the front--for additional account numbers.

Visa and Mastercard's credit card numbers are only 16 digits in length. However, some bank/debit cards go up to 19 digits (including Mastercard's Maestro cards).
