Holy shit, I better look more carefully at my toast when I make it, maybe I can sell it for $15 grand on eBay.

    Edit: Scratch that, $15 mil.

Is this a pope-approved auction or something? Do people honestly believe this is a special piece of toast? Do people really think that if the virgin mary was to possess their toast, it would make them win thousands at the casinos? I can't help but think it's complete bullplop, but for some reason a part of me is actually intrigued to know the real story.

I understand the ebay initally yanked the listing, but have now approved it and are keeping a close eye on it. People are just desperate for any sign which reinforces their beliefs. However, if it is indeed 10 years old as the seller claims, this is one remarkable piece of toast.

Have you seen that episode of the Simpsons where Mr. Burns gets Homer to buy a really expensive first-edition Radioactive-Man comic and has him eat it?....

If I had 15 million dollars to throw away, that's exactly what I'd do. Err.. with the sandwich I mean.

Kinda interesting that the seller stats its not for consumption... The Old Joke is told about the guy who buys for about 20 Grand a bird that can speak like 12 languages fluently and has it delivered to his mother for her 80th birthday. A few weeks later he calls her up and asks how she likes the bird and she says it was delicious. He almost dies on the spot of heart failure. Ask incredulously, "MOM...You ate that bird? It was fluent in 12 languages and cost me over 20 Grand" And she replies... "Vell...it should have said something to that effect before I killed it..." And about reinforcing beliefs...This reinforces my belief that Barnum was right. [IMG] JJF

I used to receive pop-ups from that company. It's rather infamous really, this whole affair.
