I find it hard to relate to people who are excited to buy new watches, new furniture, new silverware, new crystal, new laptops. All these things are much much better second hand. Yes, I am talking about antique or vintage purchases and not used Crate and Barrel.
Vintage watches have so much more character and secrets. I like them with patina, I like to imagine who wore them before me and what stories they could have told...

Great watches and great photo.

That DJ is gorgeous (and my birth year!) but I love that GS. I'm usually not a fan of gold but that one is fantastic, particularly with the linen dial.

I'll let you know if I ever come across another DJ with the same face and year. Yes, the GS is truly beautiful! I grabbed it as soon as I saw the offer.

Camaro has a quite a distinct design. Would definitely be a cool acquisition!

I think my own battle scars are fine. I just don't find charm in wearing someone else's. I wouldn't mind owning a vintage watch if I had bought it new.

There is a middle ground: Heirloom pieces: The battle scars are not your own, but come from someone in your family passed on to you. The visible wear becomes a memory trigger for their vitality in a different time...
