Here is a vintage Solar men’s wrist watch. Solar was a brand sold by the Eatons Department store in Canada during most of the 20th, and the brand has become sort of a collector's brand for some watches they released in oyster cases (this is NOT one of those watches). This watch, I was told, is from the late 60s or early 70s and it is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. I have not had it serviced because it is in working order, but the man who sold the watch told me that it was serviced a few years back. There are signs of wear on the case, but these are expected on a watch of this age. The case is gold plated. The dial is in excellent condition, and the crystal has some very light wear that can be polished out with ease. it is 34mm w/0 the crown and 40mm end to end. The movement is a 25 jeweled swiss automatic movement. It came on a crappy faux croc strap that threw out. It will instead be included on the brown stowa strap (as pictured in the first photo) with a gold buckle. Quick note: the date is not quick-set. you have to move the hour hand past the 2 marker, then back to 9, then back to 2, and so on and so on. Reduced from 130 to 115!
