I've been looking for a vintage Omega and was hoping for some input. I have searched older posts here and on Timezone. I know that you should buy the seller as much as you are buying the watch. An authorized dealer that posts on Timezone told me that if possible, buy local where you can actually see the watch in person. (He only handles new watches)
That said, what movements are recommended from the 50's and 60 era watches? I know that you want to ask the seller if the dial is original, if the crown is original and when it was last serviced. But are there any other tips on what to ask exactly? The movements are old, so you have no idea what they've been through...
