Vintage shoes made by Stuart Holmes?

Does anyone know anything about the brand? I've seen old shoes made by the shoemaker several times and all of them were very well made. Google search didn't come up with helpful information.

Nine years later, and the amount of information available is still slim. I am wearing a pair that I found new at a thrift store. They do seem well made, to a point. The exterior is very nicely designed, and the construction seems solid, but the materials would not have lasted this long if they'd actually been worn at all during the intervening years, interiors are absurdly cheap. They do look great at first glance, though.
