uberdobber I hope the older masters will come up with better comments but by then the lovely outdoorsman size L (62 mm)
from the 80s. About the lens I could not give a court and wait for the opinion of senior members.
Maybe full mirror G31

View attachment 909277 View attachment 909278 Looking for an opinion on these. Are they authentic and if so how old are they. Lens type? Model? Anything you can offer as information will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for attaching all these images, I wanted to be thorough.

Look authentic to me, lenses is always slightly hard to tell but either full mirror g31 or a full mirror g15. G31 are more common and likely as factory made but g15 do exist either as factory or custom mirror coating.

Hello everyone. Some glasses seem to be original, but over the years , the inscription (ray-ban) from the glass was removed. Which could be a reason.Do you have an opinion about the loss of the inscription? Would you buy glasses with the inscription that started to wipe?

These Ray Ban's belonged to my father who passed away in 1994. I think I have seen pictures of him wearing these in early 1960s, maybe sooner. They are marked B&L Ray Ban USA in both arms. No other markings. Can you date them? And what might they be worth?

I am a self proclaimed expert on Bausch and Lomb aka Vintage Ray Bans. I have a degree in Vintage Ray Ban Eyewear, if you need help or have a question this is the place to get answers. I also buy them if you have a pair or more you want to sell. Cheers.

Hi Musehead,

Please help me to know the exact model name of the pair worn in the attached image.

Thank you,

Bropaul77

Hello Musehead,
I have a pair of Ray Ban Aviator Gray 62mm Bausch & Lomb L1746 sunglasses with Worldwide Sponsor of the 1996 Olympic Games plate attached to the sunglasses. Photos will be attached below. I have a strong feeling they are authentic, but I haven't found this kind of pair anywhere on the net so I don't know how rare they are or what's their value. I was hoping you could answer those questions for me and help me out!
Thank you in advance!

Hi Musehead

I have 2 pairs of Chromax changable (maybe). They are labeled G15 and function as they should when exposed to the sun. They look like they are brand new with slight finish issues. I got them off of ebay a while back, >10 years ago. Having trouble getting clear snaps here. Thanks for your help.

Sorry buddy, they’re fake. Chromax aren’t G15 and aren’t changeable. They’re B20 and a constant lens. All the stamps of the frames are off, the etching is wrong, ear pieces, etc.

Sorry about that.

Hi Musehead,
Thanks for the info. When I pulled them from my drawer the lenses were clear, no tint at all visible and they change when exposed to the light. I didn't realize they made photochromic lensed fakes They are really well made fakes then, the gold is really nice. I have a few more pairs around here somewhere that I'd like your opinion on. Thanks.

Yeah in all honesty they’re pretty good fakes! But afraid fake none the less.

No problem, feel free to upload some pics. I’m not musehead btw, he disappeared years ago.

Hi:
Could you help me identify these glasses?

They appear to be Ray Ban, as shown in the advertisement (as far as i can tell, they are not the ones with the code there at the bottom of the image)
I uploaded a second image with better quality.

thanks in advance
