Hello!
Now I have got a question to real vintage experts:
I am owning three original B&L Wayfarer 5024 in tortoise. They are all marked B&L5024 on the inside over the right glass (and WAYFARER on the left temple and B&L Ray-Ban USA on the right one). Two of them are from the early 90s. The formerly owner of the third one has changed the glasses because of scratches to newer ones from RB.
The really weird thing for me:
The last, newer one, has got another form than the others. It's more "curved" over the nose, so it looks more like a cateye. At first I've mentioned it to be a Meteor, but it's definitely marked as Wayfarer.
Is anyone able to explain when Bausch & Lomb changed the form?
On the pictures below the glasses without marking are the original, the one marked with a white "Ray Ban" is the more cateye-one.
