These are Wayfarer 5024 L2053 OWAS they look almost identical to your sunglasses except the studs are on the side of yours and none in the front, that's throwing me off.

here they are head on. My guess was they are some kind of wayfarers, however notice the different lens shape. It's unlike any I can find.

Good afternoon. I recently acquired a pair of Ray Bans. The seller informed me that they are vintage. Claimed the lenses are original. I was wondering if you could help me identify them? If possible what they could be worth as well...

Hi,
I seen someone before with a pair of vintage rayban aviators on. They had flip up lenses to go between plain lenses and tinted. It also had a leather bridge along the top and gold frames. I asked them where they got them from and they replied “charity auction”. I asked my mate and he stated they were one of a kind and very valuable . Is there anything similar out there that I can purchase ?

I am a self proclaimed expert on Bausch and Lomb aka Vintage Ray Bans. I have a degree in Vintage Ray Ban Eyewear, if you need help or have a question this is the place to get answers. I also buy them if you have a pair or more you want to sell. Cheers.

HI, thanks for looking at my pictures. Best guess these glasses are from anywhere from 1966-1973? I found them in a box of old family memories my mom gave me.

Hi Musehead

I have various vintage Ray-Ban models and all of them need a part or repair. My most pressing issue though is getting good replacement nose pads for a W2809 Ray-Ban Orbs Prophecy. The ones that are mounted on the posts... I also have a W2322 Sidestreet Gridlock with the right mirrored lens chipped. Any ideas where to find replacement parts for vintage ray-bans? Has anyone else had any luck?

Hi! I’m new here so bear with me.
I want a vintage pair of Ray Bans! And there’s the perfect pair online but they look too good to be true. The guy keeps saying they’re vintage B&L. They pass all the tests. But they look absolutely flawless. What do I do?

If you are positive they pass all the tests, maybe count yourself lucky. I buy and sell and have had a few pair that were flawless. Sometimes people buy them and never use them. It happens.

Hi musehead I have a 2 pairs of ray bans which are a bit of a mystery to me, one has no markings on the lenses but is definitely a pair of vintage Ray-Ban or B&L sunglasses. The other is a pair of vintage B&L but I can’t find any others similar so I don’t know the model. I’ve attached some photos.

thanks for your help

Early production years did not put the logo on the lenses. You could also have a later pair with added prescription lenses or replaced lenses for whatever reason. The frames will have Ray Ban USA engraved on the top bar.

Yes I know there’s lots of information about ray ban round lenses but nothing about the vintage B&L ones. As for the mirror wrap around ones, there seems to have had a top bar removed or snapped off, I can’t make out any brand marks or writing anywhere on the glasses except for what seems to be very faint writing on both arms or could just be scratches.
