1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    39 coat with a 36 waist? That's not right.

    Hello.

After reading your post, I double checked my original measurements.

    • The suit jacket measures 20 1/2 inches from armpit to armpit across the front with a total chest circumference of approximately 41 inches which is a modern 39 R.
    • The trousers' waist measures 18 inches from side to side across the front with a total waist circumference of 36 inches.

This suit was tailored to fit me (I do have rather narrow shoulders and HAD somewhat of a thicker midsection at the time I wore this suit regularly). However, after about six months of a changed diet and a regular exercise routine, I have reduced my suit size to a 38 R with a 32 inch waist. [IMG]

    Thank you, -M-

    Hello.

The measurements are pretty spot on, but I originally added that little "disclaimer" to account for slight differences that may arise from how it was laying when I took the original measurements. Either way, I just edited it out to eliminate any confusion.

    Thanks, -M-

^ OK. It's just that for some, half an inch in a sleeve or shoulder measurement makes all the difference (especially shoulder, which is very nearly untailorable).

Can you comment on the construction (full/half canvass/fused, working/non-working cuffs). Also, how old is this suit?
