1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Good day all,

My name is Jim and I just purchased a pair of vintage Persols. I have many, many sunglasses but this is my first pair of Persols. I attempted to scan around to find something that matched but that was a fruitless endeavor. I am attaching a link and hopefully one of the style gurus can enlighten me.

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Welcome to the forum.

I don't think they're very old based on the printing inside the temples, the case, and the logo on the lens. Probably mid to late 90's would be my guess. Not sure why they say "handmade" but I'm pretty sure they are post-Luxottica since the printing and case etc. still look like that.

Thanks very much for the info. I really had no idea but, for $80 if I hate them they can go to the girl friend lol.

    Thanks again,
    Jim

I doubt that they're too old considering that they're polarized. I don't think that was standard much before the late 1980s.
