up for sale is a rare, hand-made noragi (japanese farmer's jacket) from the early 20th century. there are several repairs with sashiko stitching, and the areas of light wear stand out with a beautiful, bright indigo color. the exterior is a dark indigo with faint grey stripes. the interior is lined boro-style with a patchwork of softer cotton sections. the sleeve-openings are quite slim, but feature gusseted underarms for full range of movement. the way the jacket is constructed would make it quite easy to tailor down, if desired.

for those asking about fit pics: this fits very similar to merz's pics here: http://stylezeitgeist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13040. the only real exception is that the sleeve construction is different: on mine, the sleeve tapers down, ending right at the elbow (i'm 6' tall) and has an underarm gusset, whereas the sleeves on his are straight and looser at the end.

pit to pit: 23"
shoulder to shoulder: 22.5"
sleeve: 11.5"
back collar to hem: 37.5"
