1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

That's Paco de Lucia, a pioneer of modern Flamenco. Flamenco Nuevo.

Iconic musician, handsome barstid, well dressed. I hate him.

Where's that pic of the bums in the 1950-1960's America sitting and wearing suits and tie, though wrinkly and dirty looking. I saw it pictured on this forum and was hoping to see it again but haven't found it...

Some time ago there was this thread with all the gangster pictures from the 1920s USA, I can't find it- if anyone can direct me there it would be great.

Not really gangsters, but I love these jackets. Totally unstructured, 30s style:

And a few more vintage pix. Love how he makes a suit look simultaneously tough and casual:
