Alright folks, bought these as a project pair last year. Have not had the time to restore these, and forgot about them. Was clearing out my storage and found them again. Totally molded. Yuck! Luckily there were packed in a plastic bag.

It’s a (probably 1960s) pair of Shell Cordovan Florsheim Royal Imperial.
Size 9.5 B
93606

If any of you are up for the challenge to (try to) restore them. They’d be yours for the cost of shipping!

Only condition is I would like to see a followup post with the result! Or perhaps this would be a good pair for the shoe restore challenge.

If multiple people are interested I’ll pick one at random.

Shoes are in Netherlands, but can ship worldwide.

Issues with the pair:
- mold
- leather looks super dry and dull in places

Golden Harvests today for a Tokyo meet up with a fellow Vintage thread member.

Me on the left and @M635Guy on the right. Beyond the shoes, we couldn't have coordinated things much better even if we tried: tweed sport jacket, Brooks Brothers button down collar shirts, and selvedge jeans. :D

M635Guy is a great guy and it was wonderful meeting in person. Hope to see you in Tokyo again the next time you're in town!

I had such a great time today! I'm beat, so pix will have to wait until tomorrow, but it was a good time and it's a small world sometimes!

I love it when shoe enthusiasts get together. The internet has really closed some gaps for people with common interests to meet.

Glad to see you two connect. Did you do some thrifting? Eating?

If you don't have any takers who'd wear these themselves, I'd be up for this challenge.

I'll let @M635Guy give the report. He took more pictures. ;)

For now I'll just share a couple pictures of a shoe that M635Guy spotted. I'd never seen anything like this stitching and thought they were way cool. The eyelets were neat, too. No idea who made them. NOS. miUSA. Perhaps almost a century old. #MysteryBoots

A little Saturday afternoon relaxation for me is putting Topys on vintage AEs. I feel the need to put them on almost every pair of shoes I have. I don’t know if it’s my gait cycle, but I tear through leather soles very easily.

Not my shoes. At least one of the brothers are 12B. Very rare Florsheim Coventry?

Your topys look an awful lot like duct tape (and aren't they supposed to go on the bottom?)... :p

I believe that’s the Stratford model.
