Picture tells a story. At a dinner banquet for Mrs Shoonoob's work. Some lady fell out in the lobby and I'm standing out front with the fire truck lights reflecting off my gray trousers. Apparently I ate too much because that's not where the hemline on my pants started the evening.

The Cole Haan "Wales", in cigar shell, from their "Crafted in Italy" line, early 2000s.
Possibly my favorite pair of shells. I got ton of use out of this and they still look fantastic, although they need a bit of Saphir shell cream. Not sure who made them, and this is definitely Italian shell, not Horween.
But these were absolute gems. Goodyear welted as well.

Thanks for sharing. Those look great. I didn’t know Cole Haan was capable of making shoes like that.

I believe a member here, or from the FB group indicated that at one point, Hanover made shoes for Cole Haan.

I wonder which Italian company made this pair? Now I am adding vintage Cole Haan to my searches.

Shell Florsheim monk strap chukkas in 9B. Looks like the strap has been replaced with calf. If there are any narrow footed thread brothers out there these are worth a look. NML.

Pretty sure they were made by artioli. Very different from the typical artioli style. I have this in the shell and an amazing black leather. They had a whole series of these. There was a monk too.

Did someone here get these? I bought them on Poshmark but the seller cancelled my order. Looks like he had already sold them on eBay.
