Soooo,
I tried on the new penny loafers, sock-less, with a pair of seersucker shorts and lo and behold, all I could see in the mirror staring back at me was my father.
Am I the only one who is starting to wear the outfits that used to make me cringe when I saw my dad wearing them 30 years ago?
I wish he was still around so I could apologize.

My dad was always a loafer guy. And bright floral patterned shirts.

Neither is my cup of tea.

If that is your dad, I like you even more!
Great pic!
If that was my Dad I would have ALL THE SHOES. That's the Duke of Windsor. The Duke and my father do share the same name but the connection ends there. That picture was chosen because it conveyed my thoughts on the matter. :-D

Bison Florsheim cap toes re-dyed by yours truly. I stopped with the bar lacing. I’ve decided it only looks good if the lace closure seems touch or come close to. Enjoy the day fellas.

Older Alden 975 LWB. This is my first pair on the Barrie last, and they feel huge. If there is someone who wears a 13B or 13C that might be interested, I’m not sure these are in my wheelhouse.

It’s funny because the 13C Keith Highlanders have a little sleeker last, so they work better for me than these do.

Curse, you, @davidVC !!! From his watch list.

Allen Edmonds “Polo” Made In USA dress Shoes Size 13 AA
- from the Fall 1985 catalog, page 10: model 8254, Tan Calf & Kudu Antelope

It's on the same last as the Nassau, so I know a AA-width will work. But with my new shoe storage setup, I have a space dilemma....or do I? Maybe I could swap these out for the AE Sheltons (which I don't care for the way they fit).
