They look like what Dacks calls Water Bison, so calling them Buffalo is likely correct. Nice shoes!!!

I am heading out to an auction tonight and will be wearing these rare beauties. At a glance they look like Dacks, but they are 4 nailed, double soled, long wing camel brogues by H.H. Brown. Marked "Made in Canada" at their Sherbrooke, Quebec facility. I have never seen another pair. Even the quality of the lining is amazing. 10E which is a super comfortable fit for me.

That is the downside to being a EEE. Florsheim and others made few styles in EEE. On one hand it stops me from buying too many shoes. On the other hands, I will never get the PTB, the Golden Harvest, etc, etc.

I'm 9D - right in the middle of the bell curve. More supply, but also more demand.

You think vintage Canadian made shoes is a rabbit hole? Shell is a very deep hole. An abyss in fact. I'm at 5 pairs right now. I would not bat an eye if I end up with 100.

I have to say, Docs shell collection does inspire me. #8 loafers however, no thanks.
