Last day of 2 day course. But rainy day so pulled out my Dacks that Pablo Hadarits upgraded with sole protectors and cat paw heels. The CG leather and upgrades make them great rainy day shoes while still offering the formal look.

I bought these for $2 (Canadian) at a thrift store once I applied some coupons and codes. They were lightly worn and size is 8.5G. The last is a bit wide which gives me freedom to wear thicker socks if needed.

If I ever wear out the soles, I'll likely get them rebuilt with Vibram 430 soles.

Oh, I agree with that. To be more clear about it, I was thinking something along the lines of LuxeSwap, which has a loyal following and uses the auction format. Generally, things seem to sell for what I would consider to be higher prices (even more niche items).

No doubt, watches, can garner more interest. I think that may be less the case with womens' watches, although I am not an expert. My experience was mainly in the shoe realm, where I learned quickly that auction formats can be risky depending upon the item.
Following is I think an important aspect, especially for serious collectors. I don't have a following, so that is one wrinkle.

Nice find :)

Here's a recent eBay completed item (there's another on right now for $850 that hasn't sold).

You might have luck on Reddit's Watchexchange or Rolex Forum / Heuer Forum...

Or, if you're not in a rush, keep it-- it's wicked cool and after a full service would probably be an excellent piece. Mrs. Neiljpage really wouldn't wear it?

Sadly, she won't. I already asked her. She's an eBay seller, so the first words out of her mouth were "sell it."

Thanks for everyone's replies. I think I'll clean up the case a bit, find a nice strap (the Speidel isn't original equipment), take some good and clear photos, and list it BIN. I'll then use the proceeds to contribute to my addictions in a guilt-free manner.

I often wonder about some of the guys who were once active here but we never hear from anymore.
I do too, for that matter. In my case, I got rather sick and dropped off the shoe radar for some time, but I'm doing much better now and happy to not just be alive, but to have seen another birthday! Alas, sometimes life gets in the way of this most excellent hobby.

I saw a pair of 96305 Florsheims in NOS condition on eBay today. The right shoe looks like it has been tried on at some point, but the sole of the right shoe looks like it started cracking in multiple places. The left sole looked normal. Has anyone seen such sole changes in older shoes before?

I had a little bit of that on a recent JR resole but I don't know what causes it. May be completely different given the age difference.

Never seen that. I’d be worried about dryness and eventual cracking on the uppers too.

Hartt PTBs in Prairie oxhide on a sunny day.

And the one gift I bought myself when I graduated from undergrad in 2004. This Seiko kinetic just called out to me. It has been running since but the hack button doesn't function any longer.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. In my case, I came out of retirement to a new job at SFO that has me wearing steel toed boots every day, so I've been neglecting my vintage shoe collection and posting on here. My office looks like this these days:

In the belly of a 757, between unloading an arrival and loading an outbound flight, reading literature on my thrifted Kindle.

One cool thing about this job is we can travel for free. Living ten minutes away from the airport is great, since we can adjust quickly to take advantage of available seats. Last weekend my wife and I went to Aspen for a couple of days for her birthday.
