Same here. A few years ago I realized I could get some really nice, high quality suits second hand, and went a little crazy. Now that I'm 100% work from home, the suits are mostly in retirement. :(
I heard Ric Ocasek (the Cars) wore a full suit to his basement studio because it helped him focus. Just a suggestion....

Happy wingtip Wednesday forum pals. Today I pulled a relative recent addition to the collection. A Florsheim 97626 made in January 1990. They are an 11EEE and I could not pass up on them even though I thought they be too snug. Fortunately, they fit well and no insole is needed, unlike the 12EEE pair I have that were made in Feb 1990. Amazing color and thick shell at that time.

I picked these up on eBay just in time for wingtip Wednesday - Florsheim 92612. The previous owner (list member, maybe?) had replaced the soles with crepe. First time with crepe soles and I like them! I was curious how moving from a 10.5 3E to 11 E would work for me and am pleased.

Off to an evening event socializing with appeal court judges and appellate lawyers. I figure I should dress a tad more formal.

These Dacks fit me perfectly and fit the bill for the occasion.

I've never wore crepe soles. Are they comfortable like regular Vibram soles? I'm 8.5eee and find some 9E also work.

Great pick up!

I don’t think I’ve ever worn vibram soles, but the cushioning is far better than I expected. They are soft enough that I’m wondering how long they will wear. Then again, didn’t classic Clark’s used to come with crepe soles?

And thank you!

Crepe soles are still used all over the place, my Duckfeet Sjælland shoes have lasted pretty well with regular use, 2.5 years so far with no appreciable wear.

Obviously not vintage nor dress, sorry not sorry.

Saw this for sale on the marketplace, sadly it was sold out when I asked. The logo looks a lot like florsheim but the seller says it's boston and I also see BOST.. in the picture already. A local version of Florsheim ?
