Just bought a pair of Mason Velvet-Eez. 50s style with 6 eyelets but i guess made in 60-70s because other detail is not that 50s good. Not my size so i'm gonna give it to my friend.

BTW i bought it on the sidewalk in Vietnam but the origin is from Goodwill  This seems to confirm that the 2nd hand shoes here are from US/Canadian charities

I'm not sure what the appointment would have produced, but in my book you came out the winner.
Would these date to June 1957 given vcleat.com info? That's my reading. Correct me as needed.

The shells found you. Amazing thrift store pick up. Those look to be in great condition. Probably can flip for a good profit.
You're right about that. This particular store usually doesn't yield much. My motto is 'it only takes one', so I stopped when I considered moving on. Found some Canali suits for a buddy today as well. And about 25% of my appts change once the week starts. I never know- anything.

When I go to thrift stores, I mostly look at shoes. Clothes are just overwhelming. But of course the one time I looked, I found a beautiful wool overcoat which has been great for Canadian winters. It was $15.

Maybe when I retire, I'll make thrifting my daily motivation to get out and about. And also sell a few items here and there for fun.

Careful, it's a slippery slope!
Source: the multitude of suits currently hanging in my basement.

Same here. A few years ago I realized I could get some really nice, high quality suits second hand, and went a little crazy. Now that I'm 100% work from home, the suits are mostly in retirement. :(
