Spent the last two weeks stretching these out ever so slightly. They’re now wearable, though still a little snug.

Florsheim NST. They still have the original 5-nail sole, but the heels have been replaced with a solid O’Sullivan nylon top lift

I’d like to hop on board for wingtip Wednesday. Not vintage, but AE MacNeils I recently picked up with Gustin selvedge in grey.

But in direct vintage news, I got word from Wyatt and Son that my Florsheim split toes are done and on their way back. For the cost of soles, heels, and welts, I could have bought new AEs. But they look awesome from the texts they sent. In person pics when they arrive.

I will say i have wide feet (EEE) but have only an 83 cm waist
Still it does make me think that the same thing genetically may be the cause of obesity today

Welcome to the forum and the thread. What size do you wear with those EEEs?

These John McHale gunboats just don't work for me. Size marking is 8.5ee but my heels keep slipping. I tried using waxed laces to keep my feet in. And then my feet would slide forward rubbing against the toe box. I guess this last doesn't fit me well. I tried so hard to make them work, as they are from McHale's higher line. The stitching work, especially in the interior is phenomenal. Not meant to be. I will be consigning these through @mariusscott .

PSA. Not my listing. Previous post got deleted because of ebay sales link in shell cordovan thread. Search for it if interested. Size 10.5D for $300.

semi-vintage NOS Florsheim "Scotch" shell cordovan.

Thought I would post one last update here on the shell Kenmoor's even though they're not vintage. But I owe it to this thread for allowing me to score these!

Unfortunately the 10.5D is a little small for me, but I would be happy to pass them along to anyone here at my cost. Wanted to offer them here first.

Not a cordovan expert here, but I think these are basically whiskey shell (Horween).

Non-vintage violation. Alden shell shortwings. I’m not sure I’ve done enough deep conditioning on these, but they’re not particularly old, so wouldn’t expect the shell to be dangerously dry. I originally reached for the 93605s I picked up about a year ago, but those need more conditioning, and based on age, I dare not wear them until I feel more certain about the state of the shell.

British walkers. I called these my shoes with the ‘candy coating’ because the polishEd cobbler is so obvious. I was going to sell them but they actually fit pretty well.
