Day off, so went to the gym for a morning workout. While waiting for my wife to finish so we could have breakfast together, I noticed that I was wearing v-cleats on a wooden floor. I hope they don't mind.

Had a “meet the teachers” event at my son’s school last night. Broke out some AE split toes. I don’t know if they qualify as vintage, but can I get by on being a vintage style? And since someone mentioned watches, I’ll add that my watch was definitely vintage, probably 1950s.

Speaking of split toes, the Florsheim split toes I recently posted about are with Wyatt and Dad. Great customer service on the front end! It’s going to run a pretty penny to replace the soles and welts, but they thought the uppers were in super shape. I’m a few weeks out but will grab pics when they arrive.

Are those Waltons? Great looking shoe, I was eyeing a brown pebble grain pair on eBay and may snag them.

Just a beautiful pair and so iconic. I knew they were Florsheim beauties when I saw just the toe as I scrolled down the page.

Good eye! Yes, they are Waltons. They are the first pair of AEs that really fit me well. I’ve worn 10.5 2E and 3E in a couple of styles. Moving to an 11E with these worked great - more toe room while snugging through mid-foot. Success!

I have not shared anything here in a while.
What I have today may not be a “dress shoe.” It’s a boot from Allen Edmonds circa 1987. They don’t look bad for being 34 years old. These are the AE Cayuga — a classic “Wellington style”

boot as it was called then.

Anyone know anything about these "Crown Imperials"? Seems like a lower end shoe made by Peter's Shoe Company, one of International Shoe Company's brands. If anyone here wears 9.5D (marked 495) and wants them, just pay shipping and they're yours. Might be a good project shoe for stripping the CG finish and fixing up some damage on the uppers. Soles, heels, and interior are in great shape.

Agreed. I think sizing is a lot more flexible than some people think: it comes down to "what's comfortable?" So far I've worn 8.5D and 9D comfortably in some brands, while others are too snug in 8.5D or way too loose in 9D.
I have a load of 9Ds I’m going to sell including some sweet pairs that just don’t fit me well. At least one of them runs small. Send me a message to f you are interested.

The indomitable 93602s yesterday. Very similar to the pair @Oshare posted. 835F5334-0823-4DFB-9482-D433C5369479.jpeg 4094319E-6A4D-4346-865E-7188FEC28D99.jpeg

I appreciate that, but sadly I think most 9Ds would be a bit too loose for me. The 9Ds I wear comfortably are vintage Nocona cowboy boots.

Do any of you have a pair of Field & Flint Footjoy in 11C that need a matching pair of trees? Here's your chance.

Not my listing.
