Hey Suit:
How do you find your Alden Indy boots?
Kilowatts

I consulted with a stockist about sizing. He recommended I size down to 8eee. The #8 pair is 8eee, and they do fit like my 8.5eee shoes. I could probably even do 8ee, but if I wear thicker socks and maybe a winter insoles, these will have the room.

The brown pair is sized 8.5E. I grabbed them for a great price, plus I had tried this size already. Obviously longer toe box, but snug. So this pair I will just wear when I don't need the thicker socks etc.

Both are extremely comfortable. I can see what the hype is about. Style wise, very casual and bland. Both pairs need new heels for sure. I will also get a sole protector of some kind added, as the nitrile cork is not known to interact with snow and ice in a friendly manner.

The brown pair needs a good shining and colour touch up. For now, I will condition a few rounds before sending to Martin Sugg in Thunder Bay for his magical results.

In the next 2 days, we're supposed to get as much rain as we'd normally get in a month. CG Florsheim with Vibram Eton soles for day 1. Gary Coakley rebuilt these for the environment.

Those are great shoes. Please send some of that rain to California. It doesn't rain here. We have no water. We need some. Send some vintage Canadian shoes too. Those help me personally and have nothing to do with rain.

Today, I was wearing this mid 80s Dacks’ anniversary series PTD in camel as an insider joke. Though no one recognized the leather ?. So I entertained with the usual corny jokes instead ?

Edit: not PTD, but rather short wing derby.

Hey Friendly:

Can't send rain but I can send the shoes below. Size 10 which I think may be your size. I saw them at VV this morning, took a photo but didn't buy them. Let me know.

Strange, but I didn't get along with my Alden boots so I sent them off to Marius. They were in the Trubalance last which didn't seem to work for me. Are the Indies in Trubalance too?

how thoughtful. Thanks for thinking of me. I wear 9D. Perhaps another brother would want them? Thanks again!
No Problem:

If anyone else wants them, please let me know and I'll drive down and pick them up. I think they were $CAD39.00 and then shipping to wherever you are.

AE sharkskin Warton dyed moccasin brown and shined up with a little Pure Polish high-shine wax. I did a dry buff just like I do on shell. Works wonders.

Cross-posting from the Canadian shoe thread:

Hopping into Wingtip Wednesday with this pair of late 1980s or 1990s burgundy Kangaroo Dack's! This pair is a bit wide for me but at least they are the right length and I can tie them fairly tight to make that less noticeable.
