I lose focus from reading easily. But it's healthy to take breaks often, I think. Like taking a break every 5 minutes or so ?

I wanted to write something funny, but all I can think of is renal and cardiovascular. Did I mention the kidney is my favorite organ? Everything tastes better with Sriracha.

The last two sentences are independent of one another. I don’t know why I said it that way.

Presenting 50s Richman Bros black bal. I like the almond toes and the contrast stitching, but I suspect Brooks were the better brothers.

Just arrived today while I’m on call. 1980s EG for Nordstrom black malvern’s on the 202. Original soles. I have some trees I’m about to pop in as well as some new laces and planning to do a deep clean and polish tomorrow. Not so sure I have that much need for a black brogue but at under 100 dollars for EG in respectable shape I couldn’t resist.

Oh, I have a lighter colored pair that has the occasional grimy spot to it. I'd like to even out the color a bit, get whatever dirt there is off. I thought I might go over them first with saddle soap and see how they come out, then go on to something stronger if necessary.

AE shell MacNeils from 1988, AE’s golden period,m. These have been in my closet for far too long. It was good to get them out into the wild. Grommets installed by yours truly in response to minor cracks in the eyelets.

Golden age shell MacNeil’s, that are in nice shape and aren’t beat to hell... fantastic!

Progress: came home this am and started working on these. Overall, the uppers came up nicely with just a heavy brushing, a good coat of Bick 4 and a sparing coat of black saphir. Treating the soles a bit and buying some trees today but overall pleased with the general appearance after some elbow grease and fresh laces. Looks like the last owner may have re heeled these but the job is well done enough. Soles will look a bit better after some protectant and neutral wax.
