Here's another new addition to my collection: 1940s Footjoy alligator wingtips. Being so old, the skins aren't perfect, but they're still quite presentable and hold up to wearing.

This post deserves an award. They are, in my opinion, one of the most spectacular pairs on the whole thread.

Yes, we are Florsheim dominant (which is okay). And NOS shoes are always amazing to see.

But, these are so special.

1. From a well known but not common Manufacturer.
2. AND in an exotic skin in a great color.
3. AND with a SPADE SOLE!

Really stupendous!

I feel like the dog that caught the car. You know that feeling, when your lowball bid in the last twelve seconds of the auction ends up winning it? But I have a score to settle with Hanover shell LWBs, since my last pair got parted out due to cracked vamps. These look a lot better and are a lighter color than any other shell longwings I own, so hopefully they will work out.

Anyone know anything about these NOS longwings? First time I've ever picked up this, er, "brand". Never even thought they had a time when they might have made something of quality, but these looked semi-decent.

JCP store brand, don’t recall who made them, maybe Dexter? The construction looks decent enough-can get alot of use out of those

Anyone know anything about the Johnston and Murphy "handcrafted" optima cushion line? What are we talking about here? Is this on par with the Crown Aristocraft, or are we talking about the garbage J&M became?

Rainy weather for next few days.

Florsheim PTBs with rubber heels and sole protectors will keep me in good stead.
