Here's a new addition to my collection. These are early 1950s Freeman with a double welt stitch.

Any 14D brothers? Not my shoes but good deal on a nice pair.

Thanks. That’s me if they fit TTS-ish. I’m a 14C Brannock, but do a 14D if they run narrow.

EDIT: Already gone. Oh well

That was fast! For future reference, as a starting point I would take the same size as you do in Florsheim. They run slightly bigger than Florsheim but maybe not enough to change sizes. You might be able to size down to a 13.5D or maybe a 14B but a 14D might require a thicker sock or a thin insert... or not. Probably would have been worth the gamble for you.

I'm on a roll tonight. Never seen this AE before... looks to be very well made. Not my shoes.

It could be unpopular opinion but I'd prefer some traditional british derbies in tan to golden harvest.

The Golden Harvest can be variable in color for sure. This is why Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors. Always go with what makes you happy.

Never too late to dress well.
Correct. Not to mention the fact that I'm not the same person I was 20 years ago. No one is. We all grow, and sometimes our interests change.

This pair is special. I think it’s your size @Hotel Cali (not my listing)

Edit 1: Also, there’s a 7.5D Dacks bison pair on David’s list that’re special too. But Idk how to date that pair. Referring to @Jiqea expertise

Edit 2: testing my skills, the Dacks pair is from 60s because the model code is 2330 instead of 330. I think I’m very cool ?

Stunning event in the friendlygoz household. My wife got up from the dinner table, grabbed a box (Nordstrom I think) and quickly walked upstairs with it. I watched in silence. Then the realization hit me: I’m not just a guy who smuggles shoes through spousal customs ?; I AM spousal customs ?! (bumm, bumm, bumm...)

That's easily the funniest thing that I have seen all day.

Looking for some advice from this fine group of folks. I want to get my brother a pair of 903602s for his 50th birthday. I’ve had this pie on my watchlist for a long time. I’m a little worried that the insoles are too worn down. Thoughts? Should I hold out for a nicer pair?

I think they're way over priced. I'd check some other brands in that size.

Thanks for the leads. The Urners might be to slim as C width. The Dacks are interested interesting.

I got a few on my lists I am mulling over.
