OK, here's my entry:
I like longwings. Yes, I really like longwings. If they are special enough, I even buy vintage pairs that are not my size, in the belief that I can resell them at a profit. This sometimes succeeds. But lately, the weather gods interfered in this harmless pursuit by marooning a pair of vintage Florsheim Golden Harvest shoes in Bakersfield, California. A city made famous by the Rolling Stones, in the song Far Away Eyes. Perhaps you've heard the song. Possibly not. But the longwings endure. No, they abide.
Anyway, that's all I got. Hats off and vcleats down, props to @davidVC. Golden Harvest anecdote is real, receipts attached.
