How do you find all these old shoes? Wait. Don’t tell me. I have a Enough of an obsession already
If you wait for a couple more years, only Vintage dress shoe you will find is Hush Puppies. Why let down your obsession?

The thinking that we have limited years and supplies left have put me in the continously cycle of binge buying and detoxing! Mormonopoly's unique find and Jiqea's Mchale keep on pulling me out of the detox.

Are all canadian made Florsheims mchale made?

I always believed so. But then someone posted a pair in the facebook group. They were Canadian made Florsheim. But definitely not McHale. Looked to be a cheap build.

@Jiqea and @mariusscott are the inhouse experts.

Coincidentally, my bison leather PTDs that I happened to be wearing today are miCanada Florsheim Imperials. I don't know who made them for Florsheim, but they are significantly different in build quality compared to my John McHale LWBs. Anything is possible, but I would be surprised if they came out of the same factory.

I didn't snap photos today, but here is an older photo.

This pair is definitely made by McHale. The lettering and sole give it away. These were likely made in the dying days when Florsheim was trying to cut costs at the Canadian factory. And as we all know, once costs are chopped, the end is near.

Ah, I stand corrected. The quality is noticeably different, so you are probably right that these were made in their dying days. :(

Here's something special I picked up. These are 1940s Cole Haan true spade soles in unworn condition. These are unbelievably well made and would be a grail shoe for me if they were my size. They were listed way too cheap on ebay so I picked them up to resell. The only downside is they're a tough size 8.5B.

Does anyone know what these are? They look like Golden Harvest, but the model number is wrong: 33920

They popped up on auction here in Japan. Not my size and pretty beat up, so I'm not planning on picking them up... but wondering about the model number.

This marked the genesis of the most sought after vintage vendor. I’m 9.5D, kind sir.
