Hi guys:

I know it’s been awhile since I wrote any shoe related posts, for which I apologize, but I wanted to share this with you:
I am fully conversant with and completely understand the term “post operative constipation”. Enough said!

Likely caused by the pain meds. If you can decrease your usage it will probably help.

Time for some new old stock action. Foot So Port 6 inch boots with Vibram resist oil, no mark soles. "Comfort First" this is my 4th pair of FSP--also have two pairs of their dress shoes and one pair of tennis shoes--and they are all quality stuff.

It feels like there has been a surge in FSP shoes on eBay of late. Didn’t see any for a couple years and there have been a half-dozen options in my obscure size over the last 3-4 months.

I just picked up these really rare S.E. Dack 330 Water Bison whole-cuts that just showed up on the @davidVC list. The vendor very generously agreed to a nice discount, so there will still be turkey on the table this Christmas. The S.E Dacks were made from 1952-1958 and were the highest quality Dacks offering. For those that are not aware, my avatar is a picture of old S.E. himself! This water bison whole-cut continued to be manufactured right up until the late 70's as part of the "Bespoke Quality" line that replaced the S.E. Dack line. For a brief period this style overlapped with the Kudu whole-cut, and then it faded from history.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that these are in my size 10.5D. Did I mention they are rare. You will see way more than a thousand pairs of Dacks for every pair of S.E Dacks. These will clean up wonderfully. Water Bison leather is virtually indestructible.

If there are any Nettleton fans out there, these 1920/30's spats just showed up on eBay (not mine). Pretty cool. I know that Dacks imported all of theirs from England as well.

Those of us who love vintage shoes and frequent this thread have passed a milestone this afternoon. Our little thread now has been visited on the Style Forum 2,000,000 times! That is pretty impressive and I think it reflects far more lurkers than contributors. Here is to the next 1,000,000 views.

This is size 9.5E which works for me; however, it looks dry & I couldn’t bring myself to take the risk. Out of curiosity, could they be 50s to 60s? I have a similar pair in calf, but numbers were printed.

Probably late 60s to early 70s. It looks like they are not GYW and I believe Stetson only started doing that very late in their existence.
