Hi David.

Does your watch list of the quickly sold items (within hours of listing) added to your watch list after the sale?

Or do they make the watch list when they are first available?

Either way, it is a great to have your watchlist resource for browsing and for reference.

Most are added after the sale. Some sales happen in minutes. Way too quick for me to review.

I use to think there might be shoe buying bots out there due to how quickly some pairs sell but now I can't imagine someone trusting a bot to buy a pair of shoes. Even if the listing says Florsheim 93605 at $50, you would want to make sure there are no cracks in the Shell. Robots can't find Shell Cordovan cracks. Yet.

This pair of CG Danbury is getting the "treatment" today. They were all knicked up and looking shabby so I thought that I'd take 'em out behind the woodshed, so to speak. This is after about 15 mins of scrubbing and now I've got PU stuck all over my hands. It might take a while but the acetone sure melts that coating pretty quick.

I know nothing about technology, but I would think that in the same way that there are sniping services, that someone has created a notification system that actually works. Professional buyers must sit waiting at DEFCON 2 in hardened silos with their key already turned watching for these notifications... Otherwise it's just the random nature of things, hundreds of millions of folks on eBay, there's folks looking for shoes that should be ours every moment all day long. I'm not sure.

Dack’s ? skin short wings... I wore these to pick up my sons from the park. I’m determined to wear my vintage shoes even if only for 10 minutes.

I'd highly suggest wearing gloves. Acetone dries the hell out of your hands.

One of my oldest pairs, courtesy of master thrifter @Jiqea .

These are McHale from the 40s or 50s.

My selection for today was a thrift store find. They are in good shape structurally but they had a lot of built up gunk and polish. Not bad for $8.99.
