AE MacNeils are most certainly vintage. AE phased them out this year. Or last year?
Well done. I have shell MacNeils from 1988. They are among my favorite.

To be very technical, I purchased mine last year. The style is definitely vintage, but these are recent. I do think this group can appreciate them as the MacNeil has been around so long.

I love my Alden 975. But, I could see how these might be a little more comfortable. The Aldens are more substantial.

.

I was going to link here, too. My Nick’s Handmade Boots have a kiltie. It’s usually a sign of a pretty hardcore outdoor work boot. I believe most of the wildland firefighters opt for kilties, since they’re out in the scrub and can use the extra protection against embers, etc.
