Florsheim Friday. These 93602s were rebuilt with a Vibram 430 sole. I love them. They are thinner in profile, flexible, and provide great grip.

Wishing you all a relaxing and restful weekend.

Found an Aristocraf View attachment 1482796 t boot for $5 last night. Don't see any on eBay but it fits so I'll probably keep it.

Great find ! I believe they introduced a regular lace-up chukka in the mid 90s, prior to that they had a monk-strap chukka, similar to this:

Though this is the "Aristocraft", not "Crown Aristocraft", notice how clean the welt is with the fudging/wheeling..
Goes to show you the outstanding quality J&M had back in the day.

I finished up a long and difficult project at work. Usually, my wife and I might go out for a nice dinner over the weekend. But, we are saving up for our house purchase and furniture shopping.

I still wanted to treat myself, so I got out my Allen Edmonds MacNeil LWB in burgundy Shell. My goodness these are amazing shoes.

Vintage Violation so if you are stickler avert your eyes.

I have had these for a while. I had tried on the right shoe. Today was the first try on of both shoes. I’m having a hard time finding a special occasion suitable for their first wearing.

I had to brush a tiny bit of bloom. I take that as a good sign that they are well conditioned.

They look to be private label hanover shoes, same heel pad shape and "comfort arch", as well as the same "genuine shell cordovan branding" on the breast of the sole.

I thought that the “Geniune Shell Cordovan” looked familiar on the sole. When I saw the “comfort arch” lettering, I thought that would be another good clue.

AE MacNeils are most certainly vintage. AE phased them out this year. Or last year?

Well done. I have shell MacNeils from 1988. They are among my favorite.
